No matter how crazy the world may seem, there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. We spread this important message to our students all the time, and we certainly practice what we preach!
From virtual dance classes to heightened safety policies, we’ve adapted our studio to make it COVID-friendly. View our updated safety protocols here! We know that we aren’t the only ones who have had to innovate and we love seeing other local businesses rise to the occasion with us. So this November, we are thankful for our community here in Germantown, MD!
It’s time to give a special shoutout to some of our neighboring businesses that, similar to us, are working hard to provide safe activities in Germantown! We are SO grateful to be surrounded by such grit and determination.
1. A Plus Taekwondo
This one is at the top of our list because they are located right next door to our studio! From personal class sign ups, group class sign ups, and a Zoom class schedule, they have really gone above and beyond to provide their families with options this year. Their options look similar to ours as well!
Round of applause, A Plus Takewondo! Check them out here!
2. Monster Mini Golf
Located in Gaithersburg, Monster Mini Golf provides fun for the whole family! They have reopened their mini golf attraction, but kept their arcade and virtual reality attractions closed. It’s tough decisions like these that remind us to thank other local businesses for putting health and safety first.
Like District Dance Co, Monster Mini Golf has included hand sanitizing stations, social distancing reminders, temperature checks, and mask requirements in their safety protocols. Reserve your tee time here and head over for some monstrous fun!
3. Bach to Rock
Does your child love to rock it out? Lucky for you, Back to Rock provides lessons in guitar, piano, drums, voice, DJ, violin, trumpet, and more!
Bach to Rock is offering virtual options for families with differing levels of comfort during the pandemic. Bringing our community options is something that we really value here at District Dance (check out one of our blog posts about it!) so we were overjoyed to find another business that is doing the same!
4. Montgomery County Germantown Library
We are forever thankful for our local public library, so we couldn’t forget about them this November. They’ve gotten creative with how they deliver their resources to the community over the past year. Check out their Holds To Go process here to find out how you can access your favorite books and content with safe, contactless pick-up.
5. Muse Paint Bar
Last but not least, we are sending a shout out to Muse Paint Bar, located in Gaithersburg. Their line-up of in-person art events looks like so much fun, and their safety protocols are posted online for customers to review before arrival. We love the clear communication and transparency, especially during this crazy time! Additionally, we’re obsessed with their paint-at-home site, complete with instructional videos and painting kits for purchase.
As you can see, we’ve got some pretty neat stuff happening around here! We are extending our DEEPEST gratitude to all the local businesses who are working hard to keep our community happy and safe. These new and improved, safe activities in Germantown make us feel SO proud and thankful.
To all of our readers and our Germantown community, thank you for your support over the last few months. We will get through this tough time together. Stay safe and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
