Dance Recital Location – Robert E. Parilla PAC

Costumes add the cherry on top to all of our shows! Each costume will be sent home in a personalized garment bag ready for your dancer!

Each garment bag will include:

• A printed recital packet
• Specific costume information for your child's class(es)
• All costume accessories
• Dance tights (if you placed an order through us)
• Their beautiful costume

All dancers are expected to have the proper shoes for class and all performance events. Please make sure to prep for success and read all costume information.

Costume Pictures will be held the weekend of June 10 - 11.

What's Included:

• A 10-ish minute individual photo session where our professional photographer will snap multiple picture poses of your dancer in their costume.
• Each dancer receives 3 photos per costume/dance.
• All pictures are digital downloads and releases are given to post, print, and share!
• 1 costume per package (example: in 3 routines? You will need to purchase 3 packages to get all of your dancer's photos)
• FREE sibling photos! If each sibling signs up for a photo package, you'll receive a FREE adorable sibling photo sesh!

What to Expect:
We love photo weekend! Our end-of-year costume photo session is designed to give your family a professional keepsake to remember the amazing year your dancer had. Post on social, print for the grandparents, and send via email. You won't want to miss your opportunity to capture your dancing star.

Costume photo sessions must be purchased in advance. Photos are completely optional.

There will be no class/group photos taken this year. We are only hosting solo, sibling, and, duet/trio photos.

How to Save Your Spot:

• Choose your preferred date and time. Please ensure that your costume picture is not during your child's class time.
• Fill out the requested information.
• Pay the costume photo fee.
• Repeat if your dancer has a second, third, fourth costume they'd like pictures in.
• Wait patiently (about early July) for your private photo link
• Do a happy dance and share with the world!

SHIMMER Classes: Classes for kids ages 2-7
IN-STUDIO DRESS REHEARSAL: May 20-25

Our SHIMMER dancers do not attend a theatre dress rehearsal. We like to keep life simple for you and host an in-studio dress rehearsal for our youngest dancers. Our in-studio dress rehearsal allows dancers to "practice" in front of an in-studio audience (other dancers), get excited for the big day, and for us to confirm all the costumes and tights are correct!

There is nothing you need to do behind getting your dancer ready in full costume, hair, and required accessories for their typical class day and time the week of May 20-25.

SHINE Classes: Classes for kids ages 7+
DRESS REHEARSAL: June 1 at Robert E. Parilla PAC

Dancers should arrive at the theatre completely ready in their first costume with hair and make-up done before arriving. Dancers in multiple classes/dances should bring all costumes to the theatre in their garment bags.

Tickets can be purchased online for $20 (plus a small ticketing fee). Everyone attending the show needs a ticket (excluding children under two). There is no limit to the number of tickets you can purchase. Tickets will NOT be available for purchase at the door and are first come, first serve.

Ticket sales begin May 2.

District Dance is committed to making your child’s Recital experience an amazing one. Recital gifts can be purchased online prior to the performance. Your dancer is sure to feel like a star when you present them with this special surprise! All gifts will be ready for pick-up at a designated table before your dancer's performance time.

Lifetime memories - all dancers will receive onstage photos and a digital video of every show and dance they perform in. No need to spend any money on this as it's included in your recital experience. Once videos and photos are sent to parents, you will be able to share them with your family.

Hosting a successful dance Recital requires months of planning and many helping hands. We need your help! All volunteer opportunities will be posted on Sign-Up.com. We hope you will join us in making this year’s Recital a wonderful experience for all of our dancers and families! Volunteers do not need a ticket to the show they are volunteering for.
