Who Should Participate?
The Daddy Daughter dance is a wonderful opportunity for fathers* to spend quality time with their daughters. Together they will learn a dance and perform this dance on-stage at our June Recital.
*Granddads, uncles, brothers, friends, or guardians are invited to perform in place of the traditional “dad”.
Daughters must be 3 years old by January 1 and currently enrolled in a dance class at District Dance to participate. Please note, our ballet classes do not perform at our annual recital so please keep this in mind if your daughter only takes ballet with us.
The Daddy Daughter dance is great fun but it involves physical movement. If you have physical conditions that prohibit you from exercising, please check with your doctor and contact us before you register.
How Much Does it Cost?
The fee to participate is $85 before March 1 and $100 on or after March 1. This fee includes all rehearsals, a choreography video delivered via online streaming, two special Daddy-Daughter date experiences (after rehearsals), a performance video, and a beautiful, surprise gift for each family!
This fee is non-refundable, so please make sure you plan accordingly for the rehearsal dates and times and are fully committed before signing up.
Dads who are lucky enough to have two daughters participating get a 50% discount on the second registration.
What does the Experience Include?
Daddy Daughter Dates
- April 22 (Rehearsal and Date #1) – Your day has finally arrived! You and your girl will learn your awesome dance, have all your questions answered for the entire process, and enjoy a surprise experience together! This rehearsal will be scheduled in the afternoon between 1-6 pm.
- MAY 6 (Rehearsal and Date #2) – We will meet in small groups on Saturday at District Dance to ensure we're ready for the big day. We will also set spacing, entrances, exits, and make sure you feel confident movin' and groovin' with your girl. This rehearsal will be scheduled in the afternoon between 1-6 pm.
Photo Booth Fun
We know these moments together don't last forever. In the blink of an eye, your little girl will be all grown up. Grab your little lady, choose a fun prop, and make some memories in our photo booth! We can't wait to give you a keepsake you'll cherish forever.
Your Stage Debut!
It's lights, camera, action time! You'll take the stage with your little lady at our annual June recital. Don't worry, it might sound scary, but all eyes are on those beautiful girls dressed in white!
Professional Video & Photos
Remember that time you danced on-stage in front of other people? We do... mainly because we have a video of the entire thing! Each couple will receive a digital copy of the entire performance including your awesome daddy-daughter dance! As well, you will receive onstage photos to download and share!
